There is a type of lopsided growth which is called ‘allometrical”. It is where males grow some sexual ornaments in a disproportionate way. Most parts of their bodies grow in proportion to each other. Body parts that only have a certain function (eating or killing), would grow in proportion to the rest of the body. Body parts that had other ornamental functions would grow unrestrained, as their main use was for appearances.
